Papers, 1887-1907.

Collection contains personal letters mostly addressed to Norris. Three are from his friend, Senator Zebulon B. Vance of N.C., and three are from Senator Joseph Clay Stiles Blackburn of Ky. Others are from John Tyler Morgan, former Confederate officer and then U.S. Senator. His letters concern Democratic party factionalism. Morgan was a great booster of Maryland's Senator Arthur P. German, in the latter's efforts to wrest party control from Grover Cleveland.
